We have a hotel property that requires analog extensions and they want to have one extension number with up to 7 analog phones via looped cabling (3 phones in bedrooms....3 in bathrooms...one in lounge All having the same extension number)
Is there a limit on the maximum analog phones we can have on one analog extensions using this looping option?

I would suggest there will not be enough ring current to make them all ring

the new phones are pretty low on REN (mostly around 0.1) due to electronic ringers and you should be good with decent phones but like davea2 said if you run into problems then there is not really anything you can do.

Thanks guys. To be safe we will work with max 4 analog phones looped and then the other 3 in one separate loop. We will then have the 2 analog extensions in one hunt group. I think we can get away with it that way.
Thanks a lot for the input.

create one analog extension and internally twin the other one then they act as one

We use Viking ring boosters for OPX or high ren apps.

Each line is capable of ringing four 1 REN or eight 0.5 REN telephones and does not affect normal operation of the telephone line or features, such as caller ID, call waiting, hoowitch flash features, CPC signaling, etc.
