I know that when I visit some sites on the web, information about me is collected, for instance the country I come from because they start to show me advertisements in my own language. Well, I would like to fight back.
Is it possible to obtain an IP address which points to a different country even if I live somewhere else on the globe? I would like to have an IP address that points to USA or Canada.

               Thanks
Not unless your a hacker. Your IP address is your identity. Not only do sites use it for marketing information, but ISP use them to track where you go and what you do. Not that they actively look at the information, but if someone from xxx.xxx.xx.x sends a virus to someone else, that IP Address can be tracked back to the origional sender.

Jonathan

You could use a proxy that is based in one of these countries.
Troy Williams B.Eng.
fenris@hotmail.com
