An email header seems to be crashing my machine. I've got a Gateway running Win98, Notes 4.6.3a is running over a Novell Network. When I scroll down in the email preview message to what seems to always be the same message, my machine crashes (without my even opening the message, or even having time to see what the header is). The screen goes black, the keyboard goes dead, and I have to literally pull the plug to restart. Unfortunately, after clearing out some emails, the bad one now appears to show up in the initial preview window, and the machine crashes as soon as the email window opens. I'm not having problems with any other applications, or other notes databases. My Notes administrator doesn't have any better ideas than doing a complete reinstall, and wiping out all of my messages, including a fair number of new, unread messages. I would appreciate any other suggestions.

Thanks,

Joe Baker
Amnesty International
joe.baker@mindspring.com (my non-notes account!)

Is the memo that's crashing your system a memo from another notes client within your company or is it an outside e-mail?
Also, your notes admin should be able to get into your notes mail file on his computer or at the console with his id and delete that one e-mail.
