I have just purchased the above new hardware but can't seem to get the BIOS to recognise the thunderbird chip as 1 Ghz, instead it says it's 900Mhz!? Anyone know what I can do (manually tweaking the speed/bus seems to freeze the machine) - it autodetects to 100 (CPU) /100 (BUS) speed. I have PC133 RAM so no reason why it should.

Thanks,

Craig

Have you checked for BIOS upgrades? Just because mB is new, doesn't mean it has latest and greatest firmware.

Just a thought...

Mary :)
