AMD 3400 WIN 2K PC WON'T SHUT OFF

I'm running a win 2k O/S on an AMD 3400 PC woth Amibios release 3/24/2005

The PC won't shut off, it just restarts when you shut down in win2k

The only way to shut it down is to hold in the start button manually.

The power management has stand by shut off... There must be something I am, missing.

Usually if your pc restarts instead of shutting down its due to an application failing during the shutdown process and your machine set to reboot on system failure.

Go to startup and recovery and untick the box to reboot on system failure.

Most of this is for windows xp but might help you if still have problems.
