For some odd reason, I have quite a bit of lag after about 20 hours from booting.. The usual progs that I have running are..
winamp
icq
zonealarm
Internet Explorer 5.0
I have a k7vza rev. 3 m/b, and a 1ghz 266 FSB chip. I also have 256 megs pc133 high density (brand name, 100% compatible with k7vza, from 1stchoicememory.com)
40 gig, 7200 rpm, 8.5 average ms, ultra ata/100 (no conducter cable installed though...)
I also have a TNT2 32 meg 4x agp graphics card,
US Robotics 56k winmodem
that is all I could think of that might be making the computer lag like so...
The problem is, is that on my old amd k6-2 500, it never lagged at all, and i had slower memory, processor, hardrive, and also a different modem (non winmodem...)
I was able to run anything and everything without lag (as much as my poor ol' chip could handle) with only 160 megs pc100 generic memory...
:-(
SO now I'm thinking that either the 1ghz chips are screwed, or i have a bad one..
any and all help WILL be appreciated.
