I have a 10GB of HD no partition nothing on ti. When I am creating partition with fdisk and formating it show that it have been formated and you need to reboot your computer.

Now after rebooting my computer when i check HD it is same as it was previous, no partion, no formating. Everything as it is as it was before. I tried this many time and result is the same.

Can any body tell me the what kind of this problem can be?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

I'm not sure...

Did you follow these steps? (appllicable to DOS/WIN9x only)

1. REBOOT (...from floppy)
2. [tt]FDISK[/tt] => Create the partition
3. [tt]FDISK[/tt] => Set active partition (IF you want to boot from it)
4. REBOOT (...from floppy)
5. [tt]FORMAT C: /S[/tt] (Format HD, transfer system files)
6. REBOOT (...from HD)

Regards

Jakob
