We are going to cancel our service agreement with Avaya, as it has become way too expensive. I hate not having anyone monitoring and.or fixing any issues we may have. I wanted to see if there are any other good options or service providers?

Thanks,
Brandon

what part of the world are you in? If the US then try carousel industries.

Thanks, I am in the US. We have a fairly small need. 100 users in 1 location.

Thanks

We're doing this stuff for the wealth and fame right?

Well mrdon I am sorry that we can't help you out but there are plenty of good companies out there who can.you may want to look around for a person who may be able to help you from the inside doing small admin work on your system part time and splitting their time elsewhere in your company that would save a fair amount of money right there.

You could also use alarmtraq. It would assist with the monitoring and even resolution of simply alarms.

It will notify via pager or email of alarms including the discription and or resolution of the alarm.

Other than a 3rd party software like that you'll have to go thru a maintenance provider. Most of them are cheaper than Avaya.

I run one such company myself.

At a minimum you will need to buy an MSP contract. You cannot maintain your system without Avaya unless you buy a contract that allows you to :(

What phoneguy55 recommends about changing the inads line is a violation of the contract you have now. It says that if the contract is terminated you must allow Avaya access to turn the permissions off. You could be sued.

This issue alone would be enough for me to dump Avaya if I had any decision power around here.

Avaya won't sue you. I changed my rmats line years ago and they haven't done a thing.
