In IIS on Windows XP Pro, I can create a folder that can be viewed as a list of files from within a web browser, and each file can be downloaded individually. This is O.K. but I would really like to be able to add more informaition to the view. Information like file type, category, and comments. I would also like the user to be able to upload files to this folder (so that I can add large files to my home PC from work). Something similar to, but not as powerful as, or
The problem is, I don't know how to do that. I'm not a programmer, and I'm not a web developer.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple IIS plug-in, or something which will allow me to do this?

Thanks in advance.

My memory is not as good as it should be, and neither is my memory.

I have forgotten more than I can remember

FTP is an old protocol without very many features.
If a user clicks proporties on an item on your FTP, some info can be seen and you can enable uploading of files (remember adjusting NTFS settings) but actually showing info like in explorer, no.
you could install some 3rd part FTP server with more features, but i dont know if it will help on the info part.
