Quite a few AV vendors have products available for free use to home users. Personally, I'm partial to BitDefender (I run their linux AV software on my mail gateways) and their free version can be downloaded at

Another one is Avast
Bit Defender is great. I like the fact that virus database updates are done almost daily.
