When I try to use the data definition query:

ALTER TABLE tTempOrgResult4bu ADD Selected Boolean Yes

I get an error message. What little is available in "Help" says that ought to work. I have tried a couple of variations, but the error message highlights "Boolean." I can do it in ADO, but I ought to be able to use Jet-SQL.

What am I doing wrong?

Ron

I should have used
ALTER TABLE tTempOrgResult4bu ADD Selected bit

It makes not one whit what you put in as the default; it defaults to 0 (false,) anyway. May as well leave it off altogether and avoid confusing your poor successors.
