Hey guys,
I've noticed recently on my bittorrent client that I have used up all my connections (No buffer space available error). So upon checking netstat, I saw thousands upon thousands of:
TCP server:3216 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3218 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3220 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3221 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3224 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3225 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3229 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3232 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3234 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3240 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3244 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3248 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3255 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3259 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
TCP server:3260 xh.mx.aol.com:smtp CLOSE_WAIT
The list is endless. This could be whats causing the connections, lol. But any idea whats causing them, and what could i do to close the ports?
Thanks,
Oliver
