I had a power outage today and when it came back up, I have a message on Aloha "ip address conflict". The system keeps crashing about every 6-8 minutes. I am new to this system. It is an old version, 5.3.47. Any tips on how to correct

You have another computer on the same network taking the ip address of one of your terminals/server for the pos system. If you have a second computer or laptop plugged into your pos system turn it off.

For a permanent fix you will need to make sure and DHCP servers (routers etc) that have direct access to the Aloha network do not use the IP addresses used by the Aloha system in their DHCP IP address range.

I would recommend having Aloha on an isolated network with the only access from outside the Aloha system being a "WAN uplink", (internet).
