Hey everyone my BOH crashed and when the FOH came back up all data was gone and it had started with a new trans.log.
I have located the last mir000.log on the server and at this point have decided to let the FOH continue for now due to them using it for over 30 minutes before i could get to it. After all employees closeout & clockout later tonight i am going to run all my reports and then replace the current translog with the mir000log file and at that point i believe i will be back to where i was when the system went down after a refresh. Combining the two checkouts from each employee i believe will give me an accurate number of what there total cash owed to the house is... Am i correct there?
Also it seems edc is still tracking all the totals from the day as if the crash didnt really affect it.

Any tips here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Fortuantly EDC is a separate program and stores each TXN and has nothing to do with the trans.log. you can possiblly try to combine the trans.log's using the copy command. Make a backup of each first.

stop FOH
then rename the mirror log to am.log and the trans.log for the 2nd half of the day to pm.log and use the dos command listed below. make sure you change directories to \aloha\data first.

copy /b am.log+pm.log trans.log

this will add the am and pm to a new trans.log
start FOH
