Allow edits after opening form readonly?

I'd like to open a form with docmd.openform ...acreadonly..., then make a single field on the form editable. Is this possible?

Nope. Open the form in edit mode and disable all the controls bound to data you don't want edited (either in design view or at run-time - it's up to you).

You can set the locked property for each control that you do not want edited. Disabling will dim the display.
