All Users profile - How do I edit/configure this for a mapped drives?

Hi I'd like to be able to create things like a standard desktop layout on Win XP Users systems and also ensure that all users who log on have a common mapped drive.

These PC's are not part of a MS Windows server domain, some machines are XP Pro and some are XP Home O/S's.
Therefore some users are only members of workgroup. Also they all have access to a Linux (Cobalt Qube) Server appliance, with individual log-on names, for file sharing.

Any helpful pointers please?
