I'm running Arcserve Backup for windows v9.0 (build 2020) with a compaq 20/40GB DAT 8 AL. The problem is that all the slots are marked as dimounted,even though a complete magazine of 8 tapes has been inserted.
I've searched for information online, and have tried the following:
1) Stopping the Removable storage service.
2) Disabling the backup devices in device manager.
3) Deleting the TapeEngine reg key and running device configuration.
4) Rebooting both the server and the tape drive.
None of these have helped. The tapes should be in ok, as they worked last week.
What can I try next? All help greatly appreciated.
