All graphics in Outllook Express suddenly stop

What would cause any pictures on e-mails to suddenly just come through "X" out. I just get the empty box with the little "x" in the corner. I didn't change any settings. It was working fine before.

Are u sure that this is happening with all email with pictures or just a few recent ones. It could be a fault of the mail or the pictures may be too big.

It could alse be that the pictures were actually located on the internet and are no longer there. If this happens with all mail, does it happen in Internet Explorer also?

These are graphics from companies like Staples, Wal-Mart etc., and technical sites that send daily of every second or third day. This just started happening about 2 days ago.
