i read quark always looks for the best picture image to use during output at a commercial printer as long as the original file is included. when i use the get picture command i do not see the file that i put in listed under the links info box. should i worry about this? in pagemaker all links are shown after placing the image in the document. should i take this to the commercial printer even if the tiff files are not listed when i click the links information box??

any picture that you have placed in the page can be seen in the usage dialouge which you can get by going to
Utilities --> Usage, both in Winand Mac.
Does this solve the prolem or yo may ask for clarifications.

In Pagemaker you can inbed the images with no problem.
Quark its best not to enbed them, when you print quark prints a low res ver of your images but when you sent the qk files and the images to your printer the rip swaps the low res with the high res.
