I have a data access page that I am using for the traveling sales people to update customer files. They can enter info into a table that will be reviewed and then entered into permanant tables by someone at the home office. I wanted to know if there was any way to set up an alert or something for the final entry person so they would know when there was new information to be reviewed and entered. Also if there is a better way to set this kind of thing up, I would be very interested in any suggestions! Thank you very very much! <img src= <br>Kate

Just a thought you might want to let them enter the data into the table directly and just flag it somehow when the data entry person verifies or changes it. You could filter a form for the data entry people to show all unflagged records so they could automatically review all new items whenever she had time to devote to that function. Hint you could use the username function Environ (see FAQ page) to enter the username in the record in the form's After Update event and use that as your selection criteria.

I have tried to find the FAQ page for this......am I blind? Also, there are several tables, and I am having problems building a data access page that incorporates all the info from all the pages. What I have now is a series of pages linked. I would like to have just one page, but I am not sure I can do that. Anyways, totally different subject. My issue with the sales guys entering directly into the DB is that if the mess up or delete by accident it's lost data. I don't think I really trust them with that. See what I mean? That's why I wanted a seperate place for them to enter any changes or additions that could be reviewed before being entered into the final tables. I also toyed with the idea of a totally seperate tables, maybe even just an empty copy of the DB for them to enter changes into. BUT! That is a lot of work. So....as before, any help/suggestions/anything at all would be greatly appreciated!!<br>Kate
