Hi everbody, need to implement a Distributed Monitoring tool that monitors if applications/databases are down, if so, Mail then Page different levels of business depending on severity.
E.g: Application X is Down.
Alert One: Mail Helpdesk
after 10 minutes and still down...
Alert 2: Mail/page Helpdesk and System Administrators
after 30 minutes...
Alert 3: Page IT Manger, Helpdesk and System Administrators
The company is small so an expensive tool like Tivoli Framework with Distributed Monitoring module is not to our budget.
Any scripts or thirdparty software available with minimal configuration ...?
OS = AIX 4.3.3.10 Hardware: CWS with (2)Frames of PCI nodes.
Information/experience much appreciated.
