AJAX live data

I would like to have a spot on my front page that flashes new post titles as they are posted (like

http://www.blogger.com/).

Does anyone have any general pointers or (even better) a link to a tutorial?

First understand ajax, its pretty easy, i would check out this:

http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/ajax_example.asp

Then do a google search on setTimeout javascript, and run the javascript every x seconds to replace with a new post.

It will be pretty easy to figure out on your own, it took me about 1-2 hours to understand ajax and i am the worst javascripter out there!

ps. on your asp script that will be ran by the AJAX, you will want to do a Select of the most recent post and all you do is about put the link(s) to the page, when the ajax is ran it includes that page into the cell you want it at.
