AGP440 hangs Safe mode boot

Ben suggested I try the instructions here
to fix this.

Unfortunately this resulted in the monitor attached to the AGP video card being disabled. So not the expected outcome.

I didnt try a safe mode boot.
This computer doesn't have integrated graphics, but has 2 video cards one in the AGP slot and the other PCI.

Perhaps changing the start type to SERVICE_SYSTEM_START might do it?

Steve, take out the AGP card, then disable as per KB article...

the driver that causes the problem should now be readable...

usually it is the driver following the AGP440.sys that causes the problem...
