We have a customer who has a CICS 6.0 and Callpilot 100,R2 and wants to use message notification to notify his techs of a call in the voicemail system.

When a customer calls afterhours and leaves a message the system is now setup to dial his pager, however he wants it to also then dial a cellphone, and then a home number. I understand that they system will do this, however once a page is sent the system stops calling, it deems the message as being recieved when the pager picks up.

If I was to put cellphone first the voicemail on the phone would pick up and once again the system would deem the message recevied and stop calling. Is there any way around this???
 
The Pager will be re-paged the number of times that the COS is set for. Default for COS1 is 3 times, once every 5 minutes.
If you put on a second notification (another pager, cell phone, personal phone. these would also attempt to notify the same way with the following caveat: if a phone notification is unsuccessful you will receive a new message in the voicemail stating "the system was unable to reach the number specified."
also if your techs press the number that is prompted for if you have received the notification in error it will cancle the voice notification.

A page will always be successful, however are you saying that it will still do this 3 times and then continue going through the second and third setup numbers (ie cellphone, home #)

We have a pager, cellphone and hime number setup. So am I to understand that the system will call the pager 3 times every five minutes, then go to cellphone even after the pager has gone off?

 
Yes It will also leave 3 messages in your Cell phone mail box if you do not answer the call.
 
I had one customer that set this up as an escallation process. tech pager, service manager pager then owners pager.

What is the call is answered though? The pager will always pick up first ring, same with the cellphone voicemail.

Also, last question, does it go through 3 pages, then 3 to the phone, or will it go Pager, Phone, pager, phone etc.... until 3 times?
 
3 on pager then 3 on phone etc.
the notification will continue until the vm has been listened to.
when a phone notification is used the person answering the phone will hear something like" there is a message for emergency mailbox to listen to messages dial ** followed..." etc.

you can select a different COS for the mailbox to make it work the number of calls and delay between calls you want it to.
