HI .. After I have installed SP1 on to a test Windows 2003 server with Metaframe XP fr3/sp4. ica client config has always been set to Disable Audio Mapping.

Now with the Sp1 audio mapping still shows as disable but it isn't, I am getting beeps being transferred to client pc.

Any one found a workaround yet??

Cheers

Have you checked the Terminal Service configuration settings via advanced section, not quite sure if in the right order to enable this audio setting, you might want to also check the Terminal tab of the domain/users via AD users and computers...I'm also thinking of Group policies settings check with your Networking guys as well they might have something checked by default...Post us your findings...

Sometimes, you just have to forget your head and grab your balls ...!

Hi ... thanks for the reply ... Have check Terminal Services configuration and Audio Mapping is disabled here as well as in the Citrix connection config. AD config does not have config for audio. Our group policies are through Netware and unfortuntaly its my job to administer them as well and I havn't made any changes.

The problem only occurs on the server with SP1 the other servers are patched to a level just below the SP and work fine. Interesting that if you use the RDP protocol the Audio is disabled so its only a problem with ICA.

Cheers

Adenne - I would have a qucik search on the Citrix Support Forums for W2003 SP1.

You will find a list as long as both your arms of problems caused by SP1 and it is such that i have tried it and removed it becuase it caused so many headaches.

The worst one i found it that after SP1 one had been applied one of the sections on of the network (different IP subnet) could not connect at all!!! Remove SP1 and they can connect again......

Its flaky and unutil Citrix & Microsoft have sorted out patches to patch the patch i am staying well away from SP1 in live environments.
