After Hours Phone Restriction

working on a Definity G3 R12

I'm wondering if any of you have run in the problem of expensive calls being made after work hours. We have an eCas server that records the calls, extension and time they were made. My thoughts are that it is the cleaning crew at night making these calls.

My question is I think there is a way of restricting phone calls during non work hours. Maybe using time of day routing and messing with the ARS tables, but I'm at a loss as to how to do this.

I was also wondering if maybe there was a way to implement a passcode to open the outside line after hours or something like that. Any suggestions or ideas are gratefully appreciated. Thanks
 
Not exactly sure how to set this up but it can be done with partition route groups, and Time of day routing.

Try Alternate FRL. You can do this by way of a button on the attendant or your own set. Once this button is pressed the FRL on the sets change. You change the FRL of the sets you want to control to lets say 6 all other phones are at 7. You press this button and all FRL 6 sets go to FRL 0. Make sure that your outbound trunks have a higher FRL. This will make the FRL 6 stations Useless until you press the button again.

That sounds like the easiest way to do it.

But I have one question.

By changing that to a low FRL number that completely removes all outbound calling, We'll need to still be able to call 911 in case of emergencies from any phone any time. Which won't be possible if I change the FRL?? Let me know your thoughts.... Thanks
 
This is easy to work around. On the ARS Analysis form make sure that 911 goes to its own route pattern. Set the FRL in the route pattern to 0. This will allow all FRL's higher than 0 to go. Just ensure that all other routes have a FRL of 1 or higher. Below is a sample of my 911 routing:
