Good morning Everyone,

I find after a remote "system reset 1" I am unable to connect to the switch (G3csiV12) with ASA.

I can ping the ethernet port. It's there and awake.

I tried busying and releasing the ethernet port and board but still cannot establish a connection over the Lan.

If memory serves, I have had this happen before and I rebooted the switch to re-enable ASA connectivity.

I wanted to know if others have had this problem and what solutions you may have as opposed to a full reboot...

Also, has anyone experienced this issue with the other resets (1,2,3,4,5?)

thanks in advance

I sometimes have the same problem... Do a "change ip-services" and disable each interface you use for ASA. Once that is done, go back in and re-enable the interface. This works 90% of the time. If that doesn't work, remove each interface and then re-add them.

dmoore7648, That worked fine. I'll keep that in mind next time. thanks

Don

Dustinn3,

That's good to know. Is there a bug fix list with that service pack?

Different subject, I have another problem with the ISDN redirect number feature not working (SA8052). I'm thinking it's broke on CM2.0. It works fine on 9.5 at a customer site I used to support.

dmoore7648,

Sure am glad you posted the fix for this strange behavior--it saved my bacon today. I also had to use another tip from 4merAvaya where you need to delete and recreate your connections in ASA as it quits trying them after so many failed attempts. Thank God for Tek-Tips and the community that supports the sharing of these weird "features" of our software.
