AES release notes are good.
One thing that sticks out in my mind was that AES with a dual nic config can't be template upgraded on system platform. It has to be a delete/reinstall of the template and restore backups.
But AES's release notes typically have the caveats and gotchas.

AES comes as a .OVA file that you can download and install on a VMware platform if you have one.
