Adware & Spyware Removal

Hi,

I have been using Ad-Aware SE & Spybot to remove all of the unneccessary junk on my office pc's. I have noticed that these software packages dont always get everything. Does anyone know of another good spyware / adware removeal tool?

Half the battle is keeping the spyware/adware definitions up to date. The other half is not surfing as a user with Administrative rights.

Nobody gets everything, and many get some things as false positives.

As Administrator you want to:

. Be proactive.

This involves IE settings, and some third party tools. Start with this note:

In addition to freeware tools, proactive steps that I like at the moment:

. XP Service Pack 2
. AdAware SE Professional. Quite different than the freeware.
. Giant Antispyware with the "Agents" feature enabled

(You only need either AdAware or Giant for proactive stuff).
