I have a PO box for the company because it takes too long for delivery to our shop. I drive to the post office to pick it up daily. I toss all advertising and other junk mail into the trash barrel before I leave the post office, without even looking at it, along with almost all the other po box subscribers. I don't think mailing flyers will be very productive, and telemarketing is completely out of control these days, so I hang up on all telemarketers pretty quickly. I don't like doing that, but they're pretty persistent and leave me no other choice. Referrals are the best, and knocking on doors, although painful for all involved, is still our third most effective method of attracting new customers, behind referrals and internet inquiries.
