Adtran issues

Adtran 908e is not reaching out to the carrier for SIP registration. Carrier finally confirmed it is not.
Is someone here willing to look over my config to see what could be causing the issue? I will send in PM for you.

I literally see no traffic to the SIP server on Wireshark. Nothing. I do see my hits to the web service.

Have you read the guide?
I am guessing the guide would tell you the pre-requisites right at the begging so that you know what you need before installation.

Looks like just one license required.

Besides having the user name and password in the SIP trunk setup, a registration also has to be added through the SIP trunk. This will tell it to send the registration.

register trunk_identifier auth-name "loginuser" password "password"

The trunk identifier would be the trunk number or name of the trunk you are connecting to, and the username sometimes is the same as the trunk number.

In the GUI this is the Register Value. Once you have a registration configured, it will send out the register request.

Thanks for the assistance. I think the license is the issue, so I purchased the license, got an activation code, and following Adtran's instructions yields an error that the portal is not available. Adtran refuses assistance because there is no warranty.
Gotta love the hostage-holder companies that provide bad instructions and then want you to pay for getting the right ones.
Anyone have expierience with these codes?
I've registered on the site, I have the product loaded to my dashboard, but they provide the instruction: "2. Generate a License at the ADTRAN Licensing Portal
For most products, this requires presentation of the Activation Key(s) and product Serial Number(s).
At http://www.adtran.com/licensing, select the login link to generate Licenses for the applicable product. You will need to enter the product Serial Number(s) and typically one or more Activation Key(s)."
The link to licensing they provide results in an error, I look at the options and select licenses and it only offers AOS licensing (not it).
Anyone have a good link to generate the license off the serial number and the activation codes I have?
Hate to ask for hand-holding, but customer is still down....
