Hi,

Is there a way of limiting certain users on the network on how much internet bandwidth they get?

I have thought about netlimiter, but im not sure how to set it up so that the program is hidden and they cannot close it down.

Any help would be greatfully received!

Regards

Damon

I think you need a proxy server for this to limit bandwidth for certain users.

Hi,

Would it be possible to get some help setting up a proxy server to aid in limiting the bandwidth to certain clients?

I am currently aiming all the network clients to the router gateway, would I need to aim them at the server instead once the proxy server is setup ?

Thanks

Damon

(After you install a proxy server, you usually would have to point your clients to use the proxy server in Internet Explorer.) This isn't my specialty, so I won't even try to offer you more information that might not be accurate. Maybe someone else can help you figure out the details of this...?
