ADSL IIS Hosting

I have installed Windows 2003 along with IIS and am using my ADSL connection to serve web pages. This is only really for experimentation as I realise many of the disadvantages of hosting via a normal ADSL conection.

When I initially set up Port Forwarding on my router to forward Port 80 requests to IIS it worked ok from outside my network.
The main trouble seems to be that if I leave the connection for any great period of time i.e. 1 hour I am unable to access the pages hosted on IIS or even get any sort of response from my Static IP address.

Is this due to my connection 'going to sleep' as happens with ADSL or do I need to set Wake on Lan to on or something. I don't really know much about this sort of thing but I have heard of WOL and wondered if this is what it is for.

Any advice you can offer is appreciated.

I dont know what type of router you have but some have port forwarding to only be active for certain hours. Also, depending on your router, you may want to consider a static route rather than a port forward.
