I have a ADR2.60 IDE drive on W2K which gives a bad ID-string (OnstreamAdR`Series ` ` `) when booting. I cannot install a driver. I tried to upgrade the firmware to 5.05 with IDEFLASH.EXE on a DOS PC (dnload This is not working ,
messages are
inquiry : OnstreamAdR`Series ` ` `
flash code version : 5n0t
Error, no OnStream drive not found at this address.

I tested the flashsoftware on similar drive and this works well , so PC-cable-binfiles etc are OK.

Any suggestions ? Does anyone has a flash program which doesn't check on the actual stringvalue, but just writes the code ?
