I have an ADR2.120 and am having trouble finding 120GB tapes. It seems a waste of a good machine to use only 60GB tapes.

I was thinking of taking an old cartridge and refilling it with standard media tape. (Just call me crazy)

This shouldnt be a problem with an old cassette recorder

1) What was the length of the 120GB tape
2A) Is there any physical attribute of the tape that the Hardware used to recognize the cartridge.
or
2B) Can I reformat a ADR30 to ADR2 (THis would mean that the answer to 2A is No.

That will do for now. I'll let you all know if it works.

I also have a ADR2.120 and can;t find tapes... any luck or alternates media that can be used?
thanks

I have just bought 2 ADR2.120's from EBAY. I understand the you can use ADR2.60's in a 120GB unit. I havent been able to test this yet as my 120 unit is still in customs...
