I am upgrading an existing Windows 2000 domain to Windows 2003. I need to run AdPrep, but I want to run it from a network location, not the Windows 2003 cd. What do I need to copy off of the CD? Do I copy the whole I386 folder?

Thanks

The Adprep.exe command-line tool is available in the Cmpnents\r2\adprep directory on Disk2 of the Windows Server 2003 R2 installation CD.

You should only need Adprep.exe in your network share.

If you are worried you can always share out the CD ROM drive on a server over the network and then run Adprep directly from the CD.

How is this one different from the one that is on Disk 1 under \I386?

Disk 2 contains the Windows 2003 release 2 version.
You may receive errors if you run Adprep from Disk1 i386 folder.
