Adprep command

I'm in the process installing two 2003 severs on a 2000 domain. They will eventually become the domain controllers and the current domain controllers will then be decommissioned.

I have installed 2003 Std on the two new servers and service packed them. When I came to install active directory, I was asked to run ADPREP /forest and ADPREP /domain. I have tried this on the new server but I am told to run it on a domain controller.

Now my question is can I run ADPREP on a 2000 domain controller, and that is it or do I have to do any other steps to run. Any pointing to a paper on this would be very welcome.

I have just re read the microsoft document and have seen the error of my ways.... Of course I am upgrading the 2000 domain for 2003.
