adOpenReadOnly or adOpenKeyset??

I have been able to update my access database for 2 weeks using adopenreadonly. But yesterday I received an error message unable to update query. So I changed to adopenkeyset and it works fine again. I have not made any changes to the web pages although I have incorporated new pages into the site. Can anyone explain why adopenreadonly should cause this problem and when you should use each. I cannot get my a head around it
