Hey Guys,
Just new to the program. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me the best config for the best quality for proper size playback of produced footage on my computer. when i've tried its either really blurred or very small. i think i'm mixing up the computer playback with the exporting to DV instructions.
I just want to play my footage on my computer, through windows media player.
What compression, and other frame rate etc should i have for best quality.
Thanks for any help.
Conor.

Conor,

Grab a couple of sheets of notebook paper and start experimenting. You have four variables:

frame size (say, 720x480 or 180x120)
codec (say, Quicktime Sorenson, or AVI Animation)
quality setting (say, 40% or 100%)
the kind of video image (say, live-action or animation or stills)

Pick a short piece of video, say, 5 seconds. Start exporting. Take copious notes.

You will discover that different combinations of the above parameters create different levels of quality. Only you can determine what works best for you and still produces an acceptably small file size.
