Adobe mpeg file

I created an mpeg file with the Adobe mpeg encoder and it played back o/k on the system I have Adobe 6.5 installed on.
When I tried to play it back on another computer system it wont play. Its as though the codec was not installed.
Yet when I list the codecs on both machines (using msinfo32.exe) both machines have exactly the same codecs installed.
Am I missing something?

I'm assuming you mean MPG-2. Many machines do not have a MPG-2 decoder. You can download one at:
