Hey there,

I am trying to save my Access Project (Connected to SQL Server) as an ADE file.
When i click on "tools", then database utilities i find that the "Make ADE file..." option is greyed out.

Is there something i need to do first before i can make an ADE?

Akart =)

You didn't say what verison of Access you are using. If it is XP from what it sounds like then the default database is in an older version (2000).

Only Solution: Convert your ADP to the current format (2002). Then you will be able to compile the ADP into an ADE.

by default Access 2002 saves your db as 2000. wabeg is correct when he says convert it to 2002.

An additional note you can change this behavior by going to TOOLS/OPTIONS select the ADVANCED tab where you can change the "Default File Format"
