When a user logs on to OWA (exchange2k version) they can see their contacts. When composing messages, clicking the "To" button brings up a search window that seems to only let us search through the active directory for other exchange users.

Is there a way to search through the user's own contacts in that window?

thanks

Yes, In OWA, goto the contacts section, double click the contact, and choose the button at the top to send an email to this contact.

yeah, i noticed that...just curious if there was any way to get them into that search window!

Thanks

I'm not aware of any but it doesn't mean it's so. I think if I recall correctly it was a built in restriction for bandwith reasons, trying to pull up a huge GAL.

This functionality (search contacts) is only in Outlook at this time. Dan
