When I search for a contact in Outlook 2000 SR-1, it always shows two results. The results are identical and point to the same record in my contact list. In other words, if I search for "John Doe" it will list "John Doe (John's Company)" and "John Doe (John's Company)". If I modify one of the John Doe entries and use search to locate the other one, I find that it has changed also.

One listing is probably their e-mail address and the other listing is their fax number is what I am guessing is happening.

If you don't want that to happen you will have to remove the fax number from the fax field and perhaps put that info in the contact notes.
