Address book gone after reinstall of OE?

I had a corrupt Windows 2k problem I had to deal with. Reinstalled Office 2k, Windows 2K (repair) IE 6 SP1. Now the address book is gone, all the e-mail is there though. there is only one old .wab file found, nothing current.

Any ideas on how to get this back?

What address book are you looking for?

*.wab is the Windows Address book used by OE.

Outlook 2k's Contacts (if stored locally) will be found in a *.pst file.

Hi

Have a look for a file with a .WAB extension (start -> find -> files and folders and *.wab on all disks).

If you run wab.exe and open this file in it, you should be able to extract the contact information.
Particular profiles in OE are set in the registry; I have yet to work out exactly how to replicate these so it will appear exactly the same across different machine setups, but my guess is that your reinstalls changed the GUID's in the registry.
