First off.....I have been a diehard Lotus Organizer user since ver 2.1 but must convert to Outlook per employer's request to meet licensing issues at work.
At the office, we have Outlook 2002 from the Office XP Professional Suite. We do not have Exchange and is not feasible to purchase right now. We are a Non-Profit agency.
In Organizer, I was able to have multiple calendars...one for my own personal daily items, one for room scheduling, etc. All of the appts or scheduled room times could have reminders set for items which work excellently. The room scheduling calendar could also be included in my assistant's Organizer file so that we could both edit the calendar and if one of us was out of the office, the other would get the reminder.
In Outlook, I have my standard daily calendar for personal items. I have added a second calendar for room scheduling. But whenever I try to set a reminder for any appts added to teh room scheduling calendar, I get a message "the reminder for "X" will not appear because the item is not in your calendar or tasks folder. Is this OK?" Well...needless to say...no this is NOT ok. If I click on the NO option..it takes me right back to the appt editting screen.
Is there any way to work around this problem?
