Adding users to Voicemail 1

I'm very new at this so please keep that in mind. I am needing to add a user to voicemail on the Nortel Option 11c PBX and also in Meridian Mail. I have the instructions for Meridian but not the PBX. I read something about FTR, FDN, and FNA but I have no idea what that means. If anyone could please give me instructions on setting this up.

Okay I'm still kinda lost. The TN I need to add voicemail to is 20 12. The DN is 298. Our Voicemail DN is 444.
I appreciate your reply but this is my first attempt at really doing anything with our PBX. Tired of paying our phone company 115.00 per hour to do simple things like this.

You need to ensure that the appropriate set classes are allowd (FNA FBA or HTA and MWA)

Hunt = 444 (if using hunt rather than FBA)
fdn = 444

You then have to go into your Mermail and add the user mailbox for DN 298.

I think you are now beginning to see WHY your service company charges $115/hour. Not so simple is it?

I think I got the hunt changed to 444 but am unsure what command to type to change the fdn.

Thank you very much. Working perfectly now. My only other question is how do I make the phone make a different sound when there is a new message. On my phone (analog), when I have voicemail, the dial tone skips letting me know I have new messages.

Change CLS (class of service) from MWD (Message Waiting Denied)to MWA (Message Waiting Allowed). Also ensure it's not set to LPA (Lamp allowed) should be LPD (Lamp Denied) so that it gives you studder dial tone as message waiting indication.
