I was wondering if it would be possible to add a POP3 email address to the Global Address List to exchange without creating a mailbox. The exchange is configured to deal only with internal mail only. The IMC has not been installed or configured. Outlook clients have a POP3 account entered into Outlook to send mail outside the organization.

Is there anyway to se this up?

yep- add a custom recipient and select 'internet mail' for the type of recipient. You will need to put in the external address and you can tell it is an external recipient because it will appear with a globe next to it in the address book

Hope this helps
