I have a table that needs to have a field indexed. We use BTrieve here and I am stumped on how to indexed this field (trxDate), which is a date field. Thanks

Good Luck !!! Indexing Btrieve is not like SQL or Access or dBase. The closest thing to it I know is building DDF files, which probably shows how much I know. Btrieve is very application specific.

There are 3rd party applications designed for manipulating existing bTrieve based applications, including adding indexes. DDF Builder is the name of one such application, and the publisher probably has (or could point you at) something that could add an index, and also modify your ddf (data dictionary file) so that it realizes it has this additional index. So, try the Google route with "DDF Builder". Malcolm Wynden
