Ok guys I have an sql Database but I have no idea how to put images into the field for each record could someone tell me how to do that?

also I will be displaying the image in a VB6 program can I just bind the img object to the field with the image? or does it need special code

I would not actually store the image in the database. it can be done but i would recomend against it. You should store the location of it on the server in the database and pull it up as needed.

as for how. try a search since i remmeber this question being asked before.

as for how to code it, try the vb6 forum. I realize this isnt much help but we have a package that has it stored in the database and it is a headache. It makes life much easier if its stored in files on teh server.

so your saying just make a text field with the location of the image on the server and then use that field string in my VB program?
