Hi everybody:

I have a large graphic. I would like to add hotspots to the graphic so various portions of the graphic can act as links/buttons. I would also like to add a rollover effect to the hotspots. Is this possible? In other words, just a portion (the hotspot) of the graphic would highlight when the cursor goes over it. Any thoughts? I know how to insert a hotspot, but I do not know how to add a roll-over effect to just the hotspot, rather than to the whole image (i.e. I only want the roll-over effect to occur when the cursor is over the hotspot, not simply when it is over any portion of the large graphic).

Any help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks, in advance....

You could achieve this with show hide layers. But positioning is down to you..

>>roll-over effect to just the hotspot
u cant acheive that in a straight manner, like cheech said u need to use show hide layers, in the layer that u show only the active "hot spot" image must appear, i rather think u can cut the image into pieces...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

IF 'complex shapes' THEN
I would go with Hotspot--Show/hide layer
IF shapes can be indetified as 'simpe' (square/rectangular) THEN
I say Hotspot=image slice and use the regular rollover as on any other image.
ENDIF
ENDIF

All the best!
